Since my only 4K sources are the built-in apps on the TV the Denon would work fine for Directv. It could be the "hope it does a better job because I paid for it" syndrome but I swear that to my old eyes the picture is now much better. The Hisense H8C is a better TV than the TCL US It has deeper blacks, higher peak brightness, better reflection handling, better motion handling, HDR compatibility, and slightly better built-in speakers. On the other hand, the TCL uses Roku's smart interface which has a wide array of apps and is easy-to-use.
